SINGAPORE, Sept. 26, 2025 -- Singapore's entertainment landscape is about to change forever. Superstreamer Asia – a first-of-its-kind reality TV competition where live-streamers battle for the crown of Asia's ultimate 'Superstreamer' – has officially launched. The winner will take home a grand cash prize of $20,000 and stand a chance at securing an artiste management contract. Casting is now open to all aspiring and seasoned live-streamers aged 18 to 80.
Produced by FLY Entertainment in collaboration with industry leaders Synagie, Hoods Inc, IAmCasting and Shopee, Superstreamer Asia merges live-streaming, e-commerce, and cutting-edge virtual production into a trailblazing new format. Contestants will go head-to-head in live-stream challenges that test their ability to entertain, sell, and connect in real-time.
Live-streaming is experiencing exponential growth in Singapore, alongside the video commerce market in Southeast Asia accounting for USD31.8 billion of total e-commerce GMV in 2024, or approximately 20%, according to the e-Conomy SEA report by Google, Temasek, and Bain & Company. Superstreamer Asia aims to ride on this momentum by combining the entertainment of reality TV with the commercial potential of live-streaming.
Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, in support of Superstreamer Asia in Singapore will serve as the platform for the series' live-selling segments, enabling participants to connect with audiences in Singapore through an engaging and seamless experience. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to nurturing live-streaming talent and advancing the region's e-commerce landscape.
At the heart of this ambitious project is Ms Irene Ang, CEO of FLY Entertainment – best known as a pioneering force in Singapore's entertainment industry. Superstreamer Asia is her brainchild, born from a vision to spotlight live-streamers as the next wave of digital stars.
Irene will also take centre stage as the show's resident judge, bringing a unique blend of expertise: as a media maven with entrepreneurial insight and charismatic presence!
